Stephanie Jones-Fosu is a third year doctoral student in Curriculum and Instruction for Urban Education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She attended Morgan State university where she received a B.A. in Political Science. She then earned her M.A. in Education and Human Development at the George Washington University. Stephanie has taught middle and high school social students for 9 years. She has also coached over 100 first and second year teachers through a non-traditional teaching organization. Her research interests include preservice, teacher preparation, and culturally sustainable pedagogy.
Priyanka is a freshman at UNC Charlotte majoring in Business Management. She is from Wake Forest, NC. Priyanka has experience with social media management and executing events. She enjoys traveling, experiencing other cultures, and viewing historical sites.
Vanessa Tomczak Regina is the Administrative Assistant for the Urban Education Collaborative, where she performs all administrative tasks for the Collaborative. Her areas of expertise include accounting, travel, events and correspondence. Vanessa previously worked at Duke University for 11 years and is a Durham native. She has an associate degree in Internet Technology, specializing in graphic design. She and her husband, Mike, have been married for eleven years and they have two children.
Sonyia Richardson, Doctoral Student in Urban Education and BSW Program Director, will coordinate the new Grants Division of The Urban Education Collaborative. She received a Master Degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Bachelor degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has over 12 years of experience in entrepreneurship and business development. She will be responsible in overseeing collaborative grant teams related to strategic initiatives of The Urban Education Collaborative.
